Paul Coleman is legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom at its office in Vienna, Austria, where he specializes in international litigation with a focus on European law.
Coleman earned his Bachelor of Laws from Newcastle University and also holds an LL.M from Northumbria Law School. He is a 2009 graduate of the ADF Blackstone Legal Fellowship leadership training program. Prior to joining ADF, Coleman trained for two years at Camerons Solicitors LLP, London, and acted as a legal advisor to Christian Concern and the Christian Legal Centre.
Coleman is a Solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales. He is also a Research Associate at the Department of Constitutional Law and Philosophy of Law, University of the Free State, South Africa, and is a regularly featured speaker on religious liberty issues throughout the United Kingdom and Europe. He is the author of Censored: How European “hate speech” laws are threatening freedom of speech, Kairos Publications, (Vienna: 2012)
